Dining and Meal Times

Here at Old Charlton House, a highlight of the day is the enjoyment of appetising meals prepared by our experienced chefs.

We use fresh produce delivered daily and although there is a varied menu, special dietary requirements and personal tastes can always be catered for.

Our Chefs take enormous pride in our home cooking, and our residents appreciate the choice, and the high standard of food.

As with most decisions made at Old Charlton House, we are open to meal suggestions from our residents and this is normally done at the bi-monthly residents meetings.

Every day at the home, breakfast is served individually, on a tray in the resident's bedroom. A cooked breakfast is available on request and this is served in the dining room at 9am.

Lunch and supper are formal meals served with assistance from the staff in the Dining room.

Menu choices are offered to each resident daily so that they may choose their meals according to their individual tastes.

Meal times are central to life at Old Charlton House, as this is when people come together to enjoy superb food, and good company, with staff always on hand to help.

The menus at Old Charlton House change with the seasons. So, when the fresh produce comes in from our local suppliers, our chefs create a varied choice of nutritionally balanced meals.

We can cater for special dietary needs and are more than happy to help out with advice and guidance.
